Macintosh Software Search: New column sorting and sidebar filtering!

DESCRIPTION
maintain1 is an AppleScript Studio Application. The main purpose of this program is to provide an interface to run shell scripts in the terminal and to be able to edit any shell script.

The shell scripts are linked in the program by the name and location of the script. What this means is that you can edit any of the scripts and have them do what you want them to do. Shell scripts are plain text files. The scripts are not compiled into the program and can be changed. My adhd is starting to show again.

The little program started out with about 3 or 4 buttons and now we are close to 100 buttons. The scripts that the buttons control do several different things. When including local and remote operations there are close to 250 things that maintain1 can do.

Yes the program is still freeware but donations are welcome.

MACMEND.COM  I like this because in some ways because it is applescript studio and its GUI has always been quite basic.

I also like the fact you can run scripts at the same time, maybe OnyX does the same things and with a pretty pretty GUI but this somehow brings a semi geek like me closer to what really is going on without me having to learn it all and OnyX only does one thing at a time.

I often recommend this utility on my web site and i hope it continues to be developed  (Version 7.6)

ZETTT  It would be a good feature for Maintain that if you execute a "List" of tasks, the command which invokes a reboot at the end (eg. clearing system cache) is taken to the end of the list.

So the whole "List" can be done at once.

    Thanks!  (Version 7.6)

UMAROMC  Perhaps adding the addendum of "(Intel)" on the side of the main software listing (on the MacUpdate main page) would help clarify that MOST Mac users should not bother with the direct download provided...  (Version 7.6)

NED ANDERSON  Dose anyone know what pre-binding actualy does. I've done this twice and it screwed my computer both times. All I got on restarting was a blank desktop and the Spotlight icon in the top right corner and nothing else. It seemed to load everything up until that point and then just sit there. ????  (Version 7.54_PRO)
